Chocolate got its own overwhelming taste and can be grouped with dry fruits to produce a sensational fusion of velvety crunch. The most popular dry fruit combination for chocolates includes almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts and raisins.

Chocolate Almonds

Besides adding greater flavors to the chocolate, dry fruits also build upon the nutritional value as they are a great source of fiber, vitamins, carbohydrates and anti-oxidants. Dry fruits also act as a great source of instant energy required for daily functioning.

These delicacies can be easily prepared within minutes and can be consumed whenever there is a craving for a delicious snack. One such is chocolate bark.

500g chopped dark chocolate

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 teaspoon grated lemon zest

½ cup dried seeded cherries

½ cup dark raisins

½ cup finely chopped dried figs

½ cup almonds

Preparation Method:

The vanilla extracts, zest and all dried fruits are first mixed in a mixing bowl to an even mixture and is left to rest in the refrigerator overnight.

The dark chocolate is then melted with the help of a water bath and constantly stirred, and chocolate melts completely.

The heat is then turned off, and chocolate is allowed to cool to room temperature.

The chocolate is then poured into a baking tray and spread evenly using a spatula. The mixture of dry fruits is after that added to it and slightly pressed to embed them into the soft chocolate.

The chocolate is then allowed to harden in a freezer or a fridge. Once firm, the chocolate can be broken or cut down to desired sizes. Dessert is ready to be served.

Once prepared, it must be stored in an air- tight container in the refrigerator and serve whenever desired. This recipe can be easily modified for different dry fruits to suit one’s taste buds.
